In order to investigate the effect of aqua-acupuncture with Clematis florida thunb extract solution on the pathological findings of the gout induced by microcrystalline sodium urate in rats, experimental groups were divided into control group, Aa-C.f.group, Aa-Sa. group.
And then treated on Taedo(Sp2), T´aebaek(Sp3), Haenggan(Liv2) and T´aech´ung(Liv3). White blood cell count, erythrocyte segmentation rate, serum uric acid, serum creatinine, urine uric acid and urine craetinine were measured.
The results were obtained as follows.
1. For the white blood cell count and erythrocyte segmentation rate, Aa-C. f. group and Aa-Sa group showed highly significantly decrease compared with control group.
2. Serum uric acid was decreased remarkably comparing with those of the control group in case of Aa-C. f. group and Aa-Sa group.
3. Serum creatinine was decreased remarkably comparing with those of the control group in case of Aa-C. f. group. However, Aa-Sa group showed not significant decrease.
4. For the urine uric acid and urine creatinine, Aa-C. f. group and Aa-Sa group showed some decrease compared with control group.
According to the above results, it is concluded that aqua-acupuncture with Clematis florida thunb extract solution was effective on the gout induced by microcrystal-line sodium urate and it is suggested that Aqua-acupuncture with Clematis florida thunb extract solution could be recommended for treatment of gout in clinic. And it is considered that continuous study is necessary.
